Short Break Service

Befriending & Companionship

Our befriending and companionship services are designed to provide both physical and emotional support to our service users, encouraging social interaction and helping to combat loneliness.

Our trained staff spend quality time with individuals, engaging in conversation, accompanying them on outings, and participating in activities that interest them. By fostering these connections, we aim to improve overall well-being, build confidence, and create a sense of belonging. Whether it’s a regular visit for a chat or assistance with attending social events, our team is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those we support.

This support can take many forms, such as:

• A support worker regularly visiting the person you care for, giving you the opportunity to take a short break.
• Someone visiting you for a short time, providing the chance to talk to someone different and enjoy a change of routine.
• A sitter service, allowing the primary carer a much-needed break from their caring role, with peace of mind that their loved one is in good hands.
• Offering 1:1 support in social interests, hobbies, and pastimes, helping individuals stay engaged and connected with activities they enjoy.

These services are tailored to meet individual needs, ensuring both physical and emotional support that makes a positive difference in daily life.
