A Typical Day

If you decide to join us at Bealach House, a typical day is designed to be both enjoyable and supportive, ensuring you feel comfortable and engaged throughout your visit.

Your day will begin with our minibus arriving at your home at a pre-arranged time, usually after 9.30 am. Our friendly escort will be there to assist you, helping you put on your coat and ensuring that any appliances, such as your TV, fire, and lights, are turned off. They will also remind you to lock your door, guiding you safely to your seat on the minibus. Throughout the journey, you can relax knowing you’re in capable hands.

Upon your arrival at Bealach House, you will be warmly welcomed and offered a refreshing cup of tea or coffee along with a delicious scone or pastry, providing a delightful start to your day. After settling in, you will be invited to engage in various activities, such as crosswords and quizzes, which stimulate your mind and encourage social interaction.

Lunch is a highlight of the day, with our team providing a nutritious two-course meal, accompanied by tea, coffee, and fruit juice available throughout. We take care to accommodate individual dietary needs, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their meal without worry.

After lunch, you have a range of options for how to spend your afternoon. You might choose to participate in a calming yoga session, delve into art therapy, engage in a reminiscence activity to spark memories, or enjoy the lively atmosphere of a sing-along.

Around 3.30 pm, we serve afternoon tea, providing another opportunity to socialise and relax. Following tea, you can either choose to participate in another activity or take a moment to unwind in our tranquil garden, where you can soak up the natural surroundings or join in on more singing fun.
