Our Chief Executive is a Winner at the Scottish Care Awards 2018

Our Chief Executive, David Reilly has been recognised as one of the leading home care employees in Scotland, winning the Positive Impact accolade at the recent Scottish Care Awards 2018.

David received his award at a prestigious evening ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow, hosted by Michelle McManus and attended by over 300 people. The annual event celebrates the tremendous work undertaken by organisations and staff who work in Scotland’s Care at Home and Housing Support sector.

Having worked in the care sector for 25 years, David has a huge breadth of experience in roles ranging from care assistant to senior management. Colleagues and sector peers describe him as a role model within the care sector, whose impact has been significant, positive and inspiring.

David was delighted to have been recognised and said:

“I am extremely honoured and privileged to have received this prestigious award, and I am very grateful to work with such a wonderful and dedicated team. This award provides extra motivation to further enhance the service we provide to our users, in our continued efforts to be the best at what we do.”

He was nominated by Day Care Manager Bernadette Gaffney, who said:

“David’s passion for the care sector has always been evident. He has steered Baillieston Community Care through challenging times, especially the financial constraints that have been placed on the independent sector as a whole. He believes that good quality care is a basic right and that hard work should be acknowledged and appreciated.”

The awards have been hailed a huge success in recognising individuals, teams and companies, who are delivering care at an incredibly high standard in an era of challenging budgets and within an increasingly demanding work environment.
