An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cook to join our team at Bealach House Day Service.

Bealach House is a day care service for adults living with dementia based in Baillieston, Glasgow. The service operates Monday to Friday from 09:00am – 5:00pm and caters for up to 16 adults per day.

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare, cook and serve healthy, nutritious meals for Service Users.

You will be responsible for menu planning, food purchase and the provision of high-quality meals. You will ensure that all food hygiene and health and safety standards set by our organisation and external regulators are met. You will also consult with service users to ensure individual dietary needs are met.

You must have experience of planning, preparing, cooking and delivering a high standard of meal preparation with an understanding of nutritional and dietary requirements of older adults.

An intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent is desirable.

For this position you should be a caring, positive person, good team player – polite, presentable and have a friendly disposition.
