Baillieston Community Care would like to take this opportunity to announce that today – 31st October 2025 – marks the final working day of Bernie Gaffney, Day Service Manager at Bealach House, as she begins her well-deserved retirement after an incredible 18 years of dedicated service.

Throughout her time at Bealach House, Bernie has shown exceptional compassion, commitment, and care in everything she’s done. Her positive impact on those she supported — and on everyone she worked alongside — has been truly remarkable.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Bernie for her unwavering dedication, passion, and the many contributions she’s made over the years.

We are delighted to announce that from Monday, 17th November 2025, Sharon Higgins will be joining the team at Bealach House as our new Day Service Manager.

Sharon brings a wealth of experience, having served as a manager with Alzheimer Scotland for the past 20 years. Her knowledge and commitment to high-quality support will be a great asset to the service, our staff team, and the people we support.
