Bealach House is a Day Care Centre specifically for adults over 65 who have been diagnosed with mild to moderate dementia. Our staff are committed to promoting and implementing the most current national guidelines in dementia care. A person centred approach is adopted when developing and maintaining your personal care plan. The Day Care Centre is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm. We operate an open referral system (this means that anyone can request this service) for people who reside in Baillieston, Easterhouse, Shettleston, Springboig, Sandyhills, Tollcross, Carntyne, Riddrie, Mount Vernon and Carmyle.
Our Referral Procedure
Once a referral has been received, we will arrange a home visit to complete an assessment for suitability to Bealach House. Following this, you will be offered one day a week for a four week trial period, after which a review will be held and an allocation of days will then be given.
Transport is provided to and from the Day Centre by mini bus. The mini bus is equipped with a lift to accommodate clients with limited mobility and wheelchair users. There is an escort on the bus to assist and support you during transportation.

• Re-introduction of social skills
